MANCHEGO P.D.O. GRAN VALLE Semi soft
Manchego P.D.O. is the best known Spanish cheese in the world. Semi cured Gran Valle Manchego is mild, with a slightly acidic flavor and buttery texture. An award-winner cheese that everybody loves.
Manchego P.D.O is produced in La Mancha. It can only be called Manchego if it is made in this geographical area, using Manchega sheep milk and aged for at least 60 days. It also has a casein seal at the back and a zigzag pattern etched into its rind.
Our semi cured Gran Valle Manchego P.D.O. is properly matured in our family-run dairy for three months. It has a mild flavor, with a slight briny nuttiness and sweetness. On the palate it is buttery, oily and slightly acidic and salty with a sheep milk aftertaste.
A delicatessen awarded at World Cheese Awards: SuperGold in 2015 and 2012 and Bronze in 2010. Silver and Bronze medals at Wisconsin International Cheese Contest.
