CURED SHEEP CHEESE IN VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Cured sheep cheese in virgin olive oil, coming from the same artisan dairy as our awarded Zamorano P.D.O.
This farmhouse cheese comes from the same dairy as our award-winning Zamorano P.D.O. It is a matured sheep’s raw milk cheese that is cured for about 6 months in the chambers and it is then macerated in virgin olive oil for more two months. This cheese has an intense aroma to matured sheep cheese and to olive oil, as well as the flavor also reflects the taste to the olive oil. It is slightly acidic and oily with a cellar aftertaste. This delicious cured sheep cheese is cut into wedges and preserved in oil in glass jars.
